Well hello! I hope your weekend was wonderful! Ours was absolutely packed but lovely. I'm back today with the last before and after link up of this year -- it's hard to believe!
I'm sharing a few favorites from last month first, and as always I was completely impressed by your projects and spaces. I love blogland!
I was SO thrilled Brit linked up her fabulous window seat project -- it is stunning and so well done:
I watched this progress over time and the reveal did not disappoint (those lights!). I love that they DIYed this project as well! It is a favorite window seat of mine -- you know how I love them!
Farmhouse signage is HUGE right now, especially in kitchens. Katie shared a simple tutorial on how she made her own here:
She had scrap wood for this project but even if you don't it would still be crazy inexpensive -- and it's not hard to do (you just need a printer). The possibilities are endless!
I LOVE how Jenn took an underutilized nook in their house and created this awesome built in entertainment center:
Can you believe all the extra storage? Love how it incorporates the TV and it doesn't' stand out as much.
IKEA has a small nightstand/dresser called the Rast and it has been made over into hundreds if not thousands of different projects over the years -- if you search Rast hack you'll find tons of links. I loved Bre's take on it -- she transformed her dresser into a bar cart:
I the wine storage at the bottom, the handle-turned-towel-holder and that she added wheels so it easily be moved around. Brilliant!
Annie's project shows the power of paint -- she didn't change anything else but the paint and trim color in this room but it feels so much lighter!:
What a beautiful room! I think white trim is one of the biggest and easiest (just time consuming) changes you can make to a space.
And Christina showed the same in her mini bathroom makeover -- the walls and painted vanity make a HUGE difference:
If you're planning to redo a space years from now but you really don't care for it right now, sometimes it's worth it to make some small changes in the meantime. I say if it's cheap and it will make you happy go for it -- you may find the small changes make a bigger impact than you thought they would!
And finally, I had to share all of Cynthia's small redos because they turned out so well and are relatively simple ways to add a farmhouse feel to a room:
