Whooo! This is so fun. The new design is live!
If you are in a reader you’ll probably have to click through to see it.
I know, it’s horribly overdue. I’ll be the first to admit that I tend to focus way more on projects and writing and not enough on the business side of things. I’m always trying to find a good balance. I did have a design in the works a couple years back but it fell through. I just didn’t make it happen again till recently.
I’m really excited about this one though. Every time I see it I like it even more. :) I LOVE how fresh it is! I’ve been busy cleaning some things up this morning and we still have to add one more small item, so there will be some minor adjustments. For the most part things are done though!
There are a few details that have changed that I love. First of all, my header is now clickable to bring you back to the main page. Welcome to 2015 baby! (For some reason I wasn’t able to do that before.)
I love that my social media buttons are organized to the left now as well – each are clickable so you can easily follow me on any of these sites as well:
I’m most excited about the new, wider page for photos though. Just for fun let’s see how wide we can go: What the what. That is massive. HA!! OK, they won’t be that big very often. But at least I CAN do it if I want. (On a side note – I still can’t figure out why my photos are blurry lately. It’s a Blogger issue from what I hear. Does anyone know about this? It’s not the size, as they are big files and they look great when I’m loading them.)
I’ve adjusted the link color darker because it was too light for some – hopefully that is working better for you. I may play around with that some more. Some extra ads are showing where they weren’t before and I’m working on addressing that. (That had nothing to do with my design or the designer, it was a network glitch of some kind that showed up at the same time.)
Also, if you are reading online I have switched to a mobile friendly version. I actually don’t like mobile, I prefer sites as they are on the computer, even on my phone. But Google has made it mandatory to use a mobile site from this point on, so it’s a must. (If you are reading there you can go to the bottom and click “web version” to see the whole site.)
I shared the updated header tabs last week – but if you missed it you can see my latest projects and paint colors on the projects tab. And all of my most frequently asked questions are updated here.
Again, Sarah with Sweet Theory Designs has done such a great job – check her out if you have any design needs! It’s a little terrifying having someone do all of that work on the back end (content is precious) but she was extremely professional and efficient.
Next up…moving to WordPress. Someday. Later. :) Have a great weekend my friends, I’ll be back to my regularly scheduled programming next week!
